The beautiful town of Knysna nestles on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon. Knysna Heads is known to be the ‘most striking geological feature along the entire southern African coastline.’ The East and West Head flank a deep but potentially treacherous channel through which the sea pours in to flood the wide Lagoon/ Estuary at the source of the Knysna River.
