Sited along South Africa’s Glorious Garden Route, roughly 68 km from Plettenberg Bay, where the lively surf of the Indian Ocean steadily beats rocky shores. This is where tranquil towering forests and fynbos roll down to the sea in a luxuriant carpet, where ancient rivers engrave their passage to the ocean down rock-strewn gorges, is where you will find Africa’s magnificent “place of much water", the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Integrating 80 km of rocky shoreline with extravagant sea and landscapes, the Tsitsikamma National Park acts as a sanctuary, protecting a wonderland of inter-tidal & marine life. The gentle giant of the ocean, the southern right whale often rendezvous here, coming inshore to breed whilst the dolphins fool around in the breakers, surfing and frolicking for the absolute delight of life.
At the preliminary point of the world renowned 42km Otter Trail, traversed by a suspension bridge, the restless Storms River Mouth is host to a serene and tranquil rest camp. Storms River Mouth Rest Camp lies alongside the ocean, with fantastic forest walks and marvelous marine and river adventures.
Comfortable accommodation is provided at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp with wonderful fully equipped holiday homes, 90 campsites, a tasty restaurant, a shop where souvenirs and basic supplies can be acquired and an information desk for your convenience.
All accommodation at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp is serviced daily and provided with bedding, towels and soap. There are also Full conference paraphernalia and facilities.
Storms River Mouth has 90 Camping & Caravan Sites all with communal ablution, laundry and washing up facilities. Some sites have power points.
Storms River Mouth has 20 Forest Huts 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, Communal ablutions & kitchen.
Storms River Mouth has 17 Oceanettes self equipped separate units on the ocean edge. 1 bedroom with 3 single beds or 2 bedrooms with 4 beds
W/c, bath or shower. Kitchen & Open Plan living.
