Excellent facilities - breathtaking scenic route with the icy waterfalls.
The only negetive comment: the firewood bought at the shop not dry enough resulting in a very smokey fireplace.

thank you this was just exactly what we needed, it was peaceful, tranquil and unspoiled by man

Can't wait to interest our New Zealand friends in this park. Ablutions outstanding and service from the office was very good. The swimming pool was not up to the standard of the rest of the facilities.

Allow cycling in park.
Maintain bathroom facilities better - urinals blocked.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Guest House...it's not your average SAN Park type of accommodation, not what we expected at all and were very pleased. It's nice to know that SAN Parks do offer the more up-market type of accommodation and we will look out for it in future. The Guest House was well furnished and very comfortable. Our only problem was the lone baboon who entered the house through the lounge door and sauntered into the bedroom as though he was one of us. He was not afraid of woman and only ran off when one of the men confronted him. A few minutes later the cheaky guy then entered the house via the kitchen back door and raided the place. He was quite terrifying and I think that something should be done about him...quite frankly he needs a bullet. After our encounter with the baboon we were all too nervous to eat out on the stoop & had to close up the house on a perfectly beautiful morning when we should have enjoyed our breakfast in the morning sun...what a pity!

We always enjoy our visit to the mountain zebra park as the scenery is great and the experience relaxing. The cottage in the mountains is our favourite but it could do with a little attention.

The roads was in an excellent condition. The only problem was that the sliding door with the gauze was out of order. The personnel was very friendly. I shall visit the place again, but for a longer period.

A good stay .It was hot in the day and so we were looking forward to an evening game drive.It rained on the Saturday night and so we could not go and arranged it for Sunday .It rained in the afternoon and it cleared beautifully .We arrived at 6.15 for the drive only to be told that the roads were too wet and more bad weather was expected.We could not believe our ears because the road we had just walked down was totally dry and the weather looked great.Sure enough there was not a drop of rain that night.It was a great clear evening.We can only assume that the game ranger wanted the evening off and so came up with this ridiculous excuse.It left us with a bad taste in our mouths

Unfortunately we only had one night in the park. But we saw other than what is marked, blesbok, ground squirrels, pale chanting goshawk. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the service excellent. I was a bit disappointed in the shop which seemed very low on stock. I would also have liked to do a night game drive but a) it was full and b) there was a terrific thunderstorm as well. I loved the views from the Chalet, Which was also adequately equipped. It would have been nice to have pictures of some of the larger and more prominent birds on the coloured brochure. Out of the +- 30 different species we spotted 16. I did not think that it was bad for an afternoon and night in the park.

It was great to see the park has had rain and was very green compared to the rest of the Eastern Cape which is in the midst of a crippling drought.

We are very PROUD of the way the SA National Parks Board runs the Zebra Mountain Park.

One gets a lovely “warm feeling” of being really proud to be a South African.

If the whole country was run as efficiently as you run your Parks Board– we would have

The most amazing country and we would all prosper.



All other government institutions are so “ slapgat it is disgusting” –they just don’t care –

they have absolutely no pride, whatsoever, in their work


I think that one of the secrets of your success is that you are continually assessing your staff

and they are aware of it.

Just imagine if one was given a “How do you rate us form” down at the courts in East London or at the Frere Hospital.



We are so ashamed. One can’t even use the public toilets at the Court in East London.

They are overflowing, urine and water flowing out – it is too disgusting.

No body wants to do any work there they are all so lazy and if someone wants to jack them up they get victimized.



The staff at the Zebra Mountain Park are friendly, polite and helpful.

Our chalet was clean and very comfortable – I thought no foreign tourists can fault this.

The pool was clean and the roads are in good condition – the Parks Board are

taking steps to prevent possible soil erosion.

The food in your restaurant is delicious and good value for money.



If Mr Zuma if he really want to jack up our country – he should start making

people who are working in government institutions accountable.



He should take a leaf out of your book and start with the “ How do you rate us form”



Keep up the good work. We are very proud of what you are doing for our country.
