Addo -a pleasant surprise
At arrival our bush chalet had a leaking toilet. This was soon rectified as management sharply moved us to smarter accommodation with a free game drive added at no extra cost. Thanks for this brilliant display of hospitality and care. All the staff were competent and friendly. We enjoyed Headman's wit during the game drive. We found the environment very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks once again.

Rondavel Stay, Winter - not a must
We stayed in Rondavel 2. In the cold winter nights, we couldn't stay outside on the balcony for watching the waterhole, so I would probably consider it before booking. Other than that, the room itself is very basic, air condition wasn't working good for heat. I am sure we would enjoyed it much more in better weather.

The horse riding, the safari, the staff, the accommodation, the price, the food, the park itself – all top notch and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beuatiful days in addo
We loved and enjoyed the time at the addo rest camp. The Forrest Cabin was very nice, the staff was friendly, everything was perfectly organised. we will come again!

Lots of elephants
It was fantastic, first we saw about 50 Elephants in a group, eating and going slowly forward. Then some buffalos, warthogs, tortoises, that was a perfect start. The next day we saw about 80 elephants near, at and in a waterhole, it was greate! And in the afternoon, we saw 2 linons sleeping under a tree. Our dream comes true. Our flats, we have been 4 adults and 2 children, where next to each other, they are clean and had everything we need. We eat at the parks restaurant, it was ok but nothing extraordinary, but it was not missing. The staff was very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay in Addo, the Main camp is well equipped and comfortable. We stayed at one of the tent sites which we found a little small, and was situated very close to its neighbour. However we had a fantastic time and even watched a Rino drink at the waterhole from our tent!

Great View
We booked a rondavel in the Addo Rest Camp and is was fantastic. We had an absolutely gorgeous view to the waterhole where we could see the elephants, kudus, warthog and also the black rhino (all in only one day!!!) It's a pity that we were only there for two days, sitting in front of the rondavel looking to the waterhole is relaxing. So the next time we will stay for a longer time and we only can recommend this camp for everyone.

Great Value for the money
Staying at the Rondavel by the watering hole was just great, when we arrived there were 2 male elephants at the watering hole waiting to greet us, plus some antelope and impala. We also were able to see the illusive black rhino as he came down to our watering hole every evening after dusk. As far as the accommodation, the communal kitchen was great, the room was comfortable and we were glad for the quiet heating unit in the wall. The only three things that needed improvement were that our fridge lock was broken, one of the little windows in the bathroom wouldn't close as handle was missing so we could not lock the fridge or this window. I would also recommend hanging up a shower curtain or putting in a glass door because when you used the shower it got everything in the bathroom wet. We really enjoyed the park and your facilities and have already recommended you to some friends that are coming over in 2011.

Addo Stay June 2010
The camp facilities was good and very clean. There was actually one big mistake they made during the world cup is building a braai, bar & Jol kol facility next to the campsite with no rules. On your "Do's & Donts list" there must be silence after 10h00. But there was parties going on in the supposed to be "Rest Camp" till after 03h00 in the mornings with druk people and vuvuzelas and a hell of a lot of noise. We complained wiht lots of other visitors about it and eventually at the third night after two nights of very little sleep we had one evening of pleasure. We know its world cup and we also enjoyed the soccer, but please stick to your rules or just close the bar at least by a decent time. We only have limited holiday time and this was the last that we expected from the Addo. There is alos too many kudus you have to check that there is not a lot for them to eat. Unfortunately this experience lead to a lot of people that said Addo is beautiful but after all this noise they will not come back.

Hope this helps you to re-think the rules to the entertainment area.

Addo - Excellant value for money
We recently had the pleasure of staying in Addo Elephant National Park! What a wonderful expierence. We travelled with 2 small children and would recommend Addo to anyone. Staff were wonderful and the food was great. The night drive was awsum and we even had the luck of spotting lion, hyena, bat eared foxes and elephant. Excellant all around. we will be back for sure.

Addo Visit
It was a very good experience.

The accommodation was good and everything was clean (though a bit expensive. The part around the main camp had quite a number of different animals. The other part seems to have not much in it.

I shall definitely go there again and promote it to my friends.

nice stay, but poor reservation
I was very unhappy with the way my reservation was handled. After paying the full amount I still got payment reminders and even an email stating that my booking expired and was cancelled. This was rectified eventually, but only after several emails.
I also had asked twice to also book a Game Drive in advance, but that was never attended to.
One we arrived the stay was nice though.

Amazing breakaway
Our stay at the Addo Rest Camp was amazing. The rest camp is neat and tidy and very comfortable. It was a two day break away but felt like a long holiday. Worth every penny spent.

The camping sites for the tents are just too small to be comfortable. Surely there is enough space to make bigger sites or extra sites for bigger families.
Another problem was the amount of day visitors - the parking areas, offices etc. was overflowing with people - not nice.

Love it!
I could have stayed forever - all staff were friendly and the experience was great. This will be remembered by us all and I'm sure the news will be spread in Sweden.
