Our impression
Most impressed with William who helped us when we had a flat tyre - he was wonderful.
Beds rather narrow for adults. Breakfast very average.
Pleasant venue for an overnight stay - peaceful and relaxing.

Our stay at the Karoo National Park - exceeded our expectations - what a beautiful place. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the staff were excellent. We will be definitely go back but this time for an extended stay.

Beauty of views not supported
Beautiful views . No information when booking was done eg.: no soap that is a bare necessity . No courtesy of envelope of coffee/tea milk and sugar after a ten hour journey . Breakfast bacon cheap and undercooked . Dinner poor. Totally overpriced for nothing provided. Much worse than an unrated motel It was a stopover as a one night booking means otherwise we should have been informed that stopovers were not catered for . We do not travel with bars of soap/coffee/milk ect. With the booking I was lied to saying that was the last unit . Very few were occupied when we were there. Never again.

Enjoyable visit
The Karoo is a special experience. Animals in beautiful condition. Went on game drive and enjoyed it but would never take my own car on those roads through the park. Accommodation was very nice, clean and adequate. Would love to be there after the rains and see the fynbos in colour.

out door camp
Very enjoyable stay in camp..regret there are still
folks out there who think camping is a time to party..
without considering others...birds..mice..and tame
mongoose all made camping a treat.

Great Time at Karoo National Park
We totally enjoyed our stay. We were really able to relax and the staff were all friendly and competant.

Peace and quiet at its best
This well kept park has beautiful, very clean ablutions, loads of trees and the added pleasure of huge tortoises that visit in the mornings and evenings.

The drive up the pass in the park is incredible and over all the park is peaceful and very inviting.

Will definately visit again and recommend the park to anyone visiting this area.

Visit to Karoo National Park
The family cottage was comfortable but can do with a revamp.

We were informed that we could have tea up untill 16hr00 but when we arrived at the venue at 15hr15 there was no one in sight,when we queried this with reception the next morning we were told that they cannot have people on duty 24 hours of the day!

We had dinner in the restaurant but food arrived cold and had to be sent back,no apology from management was offered.This was reported on the helpline.

The setting however was beautiful and we will return for another visit.

This is a lovely little rest camp. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will be back, hopefully for a longer time.

Stop over
Pity the lives we live never seems to find enough time or even time to relax long enough to enjoy the serenity of our quieter surroundings in our country.The Karoo national park was a first and most peaceful and enjoyable for the short stop over we had.We did not even know of the Fossil park and even that there were such animals living here so many years gone by.Even the pass was a treat. We will definately stay longer on our next trip.

It was a pleasant stay. Pity they didnt do a game drive in the evening - said not enough people. The food was good. The red wine was chilled which was strange but other than that it was good.

First time visit
It is a wonderfullpark. Just a pity that it was so dry. We enjoyed the hiking trails. Just a pity people can't keep nature clean (we found a few plastic bags on a trail). it doesn't reflect badly on the park. Can't wait to see the park after a good rain spell.

Karoo - beautiful park
The Park is beautiful en well maintained. The chalets are well equipped, comfortable and quite.

The food is good and tastefull. The staff well trained and very friendly.

Overnight stop
Very pleasant overnight stopping point for trip from Jhb to Cape Town. Spacious, clean accommodation, good food, fresh air and wide open spaces. Would even consider staying an extra night - just to relax.
Will definitely stay again and recommend to my friends.
