Tucked away within the shady dense valley bushveld of the Sundays River neighborhood of the Eastern Cape lies the Addo Elephant National Park.

Home to one of the densest African elephant populations on earth, this exceptionally tuned ecosystem is a refuge to over 350 elephants, 280 Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well Africa's distinctive flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.

Hidden next to the Witriver in the Zuurberg Mountains about 22 km from the main rest camp you will find the authentic rustic Narina Bush Camp. Here, the magnificent African Sunset is interrupted only by the boisterous howl of the black-backed jackal, and the francolin's call announces each new dawn.

Did you know that Addo Elephant National Park embraces the largest coastal dune field in the southern hemisphere, not only does it pride itself in the Big 7, elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale and great white shark, it also protects the world's largest Cape gannet propagation on Bird Island.

Narina Bush Camp is a tented camp that incorporates 4 tents and must be booked as one unit & due to the true rustic nature of the camp, there is no electricity or shops provided. For the very adventurous guests, Narina Bush Camp can be reached by horseback down the mountains.

Accommodation at Narina Bush Camp consists of:

Four tents that each have 2 single beds with bedding and towels supplied.

A fully equipped kitchen containing a gas stove, fridge, paraffin lamps, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There is also an open Lapa and barbecue area. Hot and cold water shower and one flush toilet.

Narina Bush Camp is ideal for intimate groups of people who enjoy gathering around the campfire to revive their animal encounters of the day. For the birding fanatics, Narina Bush Camp proffers a bird hide, where one can spend time looking for that elusive rare species.

Game viewing can be enjoyed from the privacy of your own vehicle or guests could take part in the nocturnal activities of the Park's enigmatic creatures on a guided night drive to scrutinize the African bush. Game can also be pursued on horseback.

"Certain things not working at all (which was advertised on the web page that does function at all) - solar lights + paraffin geyser & fridge - it was colder outside than the fridge (although a staff member fiddled a couple of times with the lights & geyser - no success). Just install a gas geyser & fridge - it works in most caravan parks"
