Impressive Safari
We went for a 4 days safari, and our experience has been very positive. We have probably been quite lucky, but having five lions a few meters from us (while always in safe) has been a moment that I will never forget, and that I truly regard as very precious.

Amazing
That was a great experience to be in touch with the nature and so close to the animals. I could also touch some cheetahs, what was priceless.

4 Day Budget Kruger Safari at Private Game Lodge (Marcs Tree House Camp)
If you want a relaxing, restful safari, this is not for you. If you want a value for money experience, where you are on the go for the entire time, where you stay in the bush with animals around you (Monkeys & Antelope)and where the guides are great fun, then book this trip.

You are picked up around 9am from your accomodation in Jo'burg and drive northwards towards the Kruger. Whilst this is a six hour drive, it's broken up with plenty of breaks, including an hour or so for lunch in a lovely little town.

On the first afternoon you get an evening drive, which lasts a couple of hours. After this you are transferred to Marcs Tree House camp, where the accomodation is clean and more than adequate. If you are expecting 5 star luxury, this is not for you. The camp is in the middle of the bush and you really do experience the feel of this. Dinner and breakfast is provided each day and the staff at the camp are very friendly.

For the next two days, breakfast is at 7.30am and you leave for your safari at 8am sharp. The gate to the park takes about 45 mins to drive to. When you reach the park, you transfer to open game viewing vehicles and then basically spend until around 6pm game viewing, with about an hours break for lunch. The guides were excellent and ensured that everyone had a great time and saw loads of animals.

On the last morning, you are up for a 6am game walk before breakfast. This is an easy walk and lasts for about an hour.

At about 8am you depart for Jo'burg, but do plenty of sightseeing on the return journey. You get back to Jo'burg at about 4pm. You can be dropped off at either your hotel or at the airport.

This was a tiring trip, but one that was superb and in respect of 'value for money', I thought it was excellent. I would certainly consider doing this trip again in the future, although may look to extend and do the six day option.

Beautiful Africa
We had a fabulous time in Kruger Park! It was an unforgettable experience and we were so lucky to see the BIG 5!! The first day we saw 4 of the 5, only the lions were missing. On the second day, we were just so fortunate to see two lions!! They just killed and ate a zebra! They were laying next to the road, so we were only a few meters away from them! It was too great to explain in words!! The only thing that upset us was our guide, Andries (Andres) the first day. He continuously drove the maximum speed and didn't spot a single animal! There was a leopard standing next to the road and he drove past it as he even didn't see it! The leopard was looking us in the eyes, how could he have missed that!! We were all shocked and by the time we had him to stop and reverse the car, the leopard run off. What a pitty! The guide just didn't seem to care at all. There was another guy with him in the car, Vuyo his name was, and when they didn't have a chat, he had a snooze. When you pay all this money to experience the wild life, you would expect to have a motivated and experenced guide. It was a big disappointment for all 9 people who were in the car. We all continuously complained to the guide, but he didn't seem to care. Luckely we had another guide on the second day, Lorrey was her name, and she was absolutely fantastic! She spotted loads of animals before we did and she talked us all the way through the day! She was absolutely amazing and she made our experience in Kruger Park unforgettable. We also spend some time with Tolly during breakfast and dinner time and he was just fabulous! So much information he could give us. Yes, if all the guides were like those two, everybody would have the time of their life!
We spend the nights in the treehouse lodge and it was real fun! A lot of creepy and crowly things around, so it is really something for people who don't mind to share the bed with some insects... Pure nature! ;-) Florence, the person who's in charge there, is a great peson! She has a great sense of humor and she makes your stay really pleasant!
We had a wonderful time and we will treasure it forever!!

Kruger Experience
Stayed at Marc's treehouses for three nights, with two whole days driving around Kruger with a wonderful guide; lorrey, who showed us amazing animals and had a great way with the guests. By day two, everyone who had gone with the other guide, who was not nearly so good, was trying to migrate to our truck! In fact he drove us on a couple of occasions and it was a really scary ride, he exceeded the speed limit and I was worried about all the animals around.

Kruger Safari
The lodge is very basic and offers good value. Most of the time your out on game drives anyway. The staff and guides are excellent. Thanks for a great trip.
