Day 1: Tuesday Cape Town - Oudtshoorn
Travel Route 62 via Montagu and the “Klein Karoo” to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of the world. Wine tasting en route. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [D]
Day 2: Wednesday Oudtshoorn After breakfast tour the vast limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, and an Ostrich Show Farm (guided). Option (for own account) visit to the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [B]
Day 3: Thursday Oudtshoorn Knysna
Travel over Outeniqua Pass to George. Orientation tour of George with a view stop at Victoria Bay, a beautiful cove enclosed by cliffs. Continue to quaint Knysna, travelling via Wilderness, an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches. Overnight in Knysna. [B]
Day 4: Friday Knysna
Leisurely start before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride to top of Western Head, and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch (included). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Knysna. [BL]
Day 5: Saturday Knysna - Tsitsikamma
After breakfast travel to Plettenberg Bay, the jewel of the Garden Route, before continuing to Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world, currently offering the highest commercially operated Bungy Jump in the world. Visit Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth (weather permitting). Overnight in Tsitsikamma. [B]
Day 6: Sunday Tsitsikamma - Port Elizabeth
Travel via Tsitsikamma Forest and Jeffreys Bay to Port Elizabeth. City orientation tour of Port Elizabeth, before checking into hotel. Overnight in Port Elizabeth. [BD]
Day 7: Monday Port Elizabeth - Johannesburg
Day at leisure until transfer to airport for Johannesburg flight. Remainder of day at leisure (unescorted). Overnight in Johannesburg. [B]
Day 8: Tuesday Johannesburg - Kruger National Park
Transfer from Johannesburg to Mpumalanga via Nelspruit, White River and Hazyview (unescorted). After freshening up at your safari lodge, enter the world famous Kruger National Park and spend the afternoon game viewing in an open safari vehicle. This park has more recorded species of wildlife than any other African game reserve. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for overnight. [B]
Day 9: Wednesday Kruger National Park
Experience the highlights of the breathtaking Panorama Route, including Bourke's Luck potholes, this natural water feature marks the beginning of the Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and Lisbon waterfall. Return to the lodge in time for lunch (for own account). The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure around the pool viewing deck overlooking the park. You can also enjoy a sundowner game drive (optional & for own account). Overnight at the lodge. [B]
Day 10: Thursday Kruger National Park
Early morning open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park. Breakfast at lodge. Rest of day at leisure, enjoy lodge facilities. Early afternoon open vehicle game drive in Kruger National Park. Overnight at lodge. [B]
Day 11: Friday Kruger National Park - Johannesburg
Early morning open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park with an experienced game ranger, pursuing the "Big 5", abundant plains, game and prolific bird life. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, depart to Johannesburg travelling via the historic Long Tom Pass. Continue via Dullstroom where we will have a quick lunch stop (for own account) and Belfast, arriving in Johannesburg late afternoon (unescorted). [B]
