Bushbuck Ridge Game Farm

The Bushbuck Ridge Game Farm is situated in the beautiful Maitlands area approximately 30 kms from the centre of Port Elizabeth, has magnificent views in many directions, and is easily accessible on tarred roads. Bushbuck Ridge farm is set in beautiful natural surroundings, is stocked with several species of Game, and offers numerous facilities to both individuals and for corporate activities.

Bushbuck Ridge Farm provides a tranquil and peaceful country environment and is very popular for functions of all kinds (weddings, parties, year end corporate functions, conferences, bar mitzvahs), as well as corporate team building, survivor type games. It provides also a restful setting for weekends away, for both honeymooners and the family man.

Added services such as special decorations for weddings or parties, (e.g. flowers, drapery, special theme effects, etc) can be provided by the management at an agreed fee, providing a 'one-stop' service.

Animals to be seen roaming freely on the farm are Wildebeest, Zebra, Nyala, Blesbok, Impala, Ostriches, Bushbuck, Duiker, Peacocks, Guinea fowl, and - with a bit of luck - Kudu, as well as the smaller species of predator (e.g. ferrets, grey mongoose). Delightfully cute bushy tailed ground squirrels are also present in certain parts.

Bushbuck Ridge Game Farm offers the following in terms of excellent accommodation:

The "Log house" is situated in tranquil surroundings, and is fully equipped. It sleeps 12 persons (2 double beds and 4 double Decker bunk beds). There is a delightful Braai area, and it is safe to hike and to game view on foot (no predators).

The Cabin in the Glen is set in a quiet open clearing, and has a minimum of modern conveniences. Whilst there is running water, there is no electricity (gas appliances). The cabin is much in demand for romantic weekends, and by honeymoon couples. It sleeps 5 and has a Braai and picnic areas.

Both venues - are supplied with bedding, crockery, and cutlery. Although not serviced on a daily basis, this can be arranged for an additional fee.
