Staying in Cynthia and Alf's settler's cottage is like being transported back in time, a charming old structure with an unusual and rather romantic history. In the 1800s it housed the consulting rooms for a doctor Jones-phillipson, having previously been transported from England, then to Grahamstown and then by oxwagon express to Port Alfred.
These charming cottages are set in peaceful, sub-tropical surroundings with lots of bird life and within walking distance to the beach, small boat harbour and shopping malls. Combining old world charm with comfortable amenities, we're proud to extend our hospitality in opening the doors to our double story self-catering apartment.
Cynthia's daily and delicious contribution is breakfast, her speciality in both variety and eclectic style. She can cook different breakfasts everyday for two weeks, so what you have depends on her inspiration in the morning on question. Sample her egg benedict africano with cheese sauce and grated bacon, or her Crepe speciality with potatoes, mushrooms, bacon and sausage.
