Buckingham Guest House

A charming and tastefully restored Edwardian house with many Oregon pine features, Buckingham Guest House provides conveniently located accommodation on a bed and breakfast or self-catering basis in a quiet street in Mount Croix, Port Elizabeth.

The Guest House is close to Greenacres shopping centre and the shops of Westbourne Road, the Cape Road business district, hospitals, restaurants, cinemas and sporting facilities.

A ten-minute drive takes you to Port Elizabeth's well known beaches, the Boardwalk Casino complex, the Oceanarium and Museum complex, the airport or most of the other attractions of Nelson Mandela Bay.

Well-known Game Reserves such as Shamwari and Scotia Safaris are only about 40 minutes' drive away.

Inside the main house there are four en-suite bedrooms with original fireplaces, Oregon pine, high ceilings and king-sized beds; spacious and clean.

All the rooms have TV, M-NET and tea and coffee-making facilities.

In the annex, opening into the garden, are four en-suite rooms. These are slightly smaller than those in the house and are, obviously, more modern in style.

Also in the annex are two self-catering flats. Each flat has two bedrooms.

One bedroom has a king-sized bed while the other has two single beds and a fully-equipped kitchenette with stove/oven, microwave, fridge etc.

Each flat has a shower, toilet and basin and is also provided with TV, M-NET and tea and coffee-making facilities.

On top of the annex is a self-catering loft apartment which has an open-plan lounge and fully-equipped kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, fridge etc., and two bedrooms.

One bedroom has a double bed while the other has two singles. There is a spacious bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin.

Last but not least, is a private balcony on which one can sit out in the fresh air at tree level overlooking the garden.

The loft is also equipped with TV, M-NET and tea and coffee-making facilities.
