Phantom Forest Eco Reserve is situated 7 kilometres west of the picturesque town of Knysna, at the foot of the spectacular Phantom Pass, in the heart of the awesome Garden Route, South Africa.

Nestled in the Afromontane Forest, with endless views, shared only by Fish Eagles, the large and elevated luxury 'tree suites' are an African celebration of natural textures.

Wilfred the 'Bush-Butler' speaks 7 languages! Transferred to the Bush vehicle -your Phantom adventure begins. "We heard a Fish Eagle cry, and a door softly closed the door of a rushed & noisy world." What bliss to be at one with Nature in all her glory - sounds, scents, the glory of a Knysna Loerie in flight - the fleeting glimpse of the shy Bushbuck, the heart stopping sunsets, the symphony of birdsong greeting the African dawn.

The next day wonder through the timeless forest,and dream of times gone by. Or canoe up the Knysna River where the Malachite Kingfisher flashes her turquoise plumage.

Or be energetic and explore the surrounding area, or pamper yourself with an aromatherapy massage or just lie by the pool and read. Perhaps I shall settle on a delectable picnic in a secret place.
