Blissful tranquility in a large tropical "jungle", our garden is filled with the sound of water and birdsong, a peaceful haven where guests relax on private decks and terraces taking in the abundant bird life and soaking up the warm sunshine after a day exploring all the Garden Route has to offer.

Bamboo Guesthouse is perfectly situated midway between two award

winning golf courses, a 5 minute drive to either Knysna’s bustling town center with vibrant waterfront and restaurants, the famous Heads or Leisure Isle’s two sandy beaches.

Our 14 rooms are connected via elevated walkways meandering through our magical gardens. We offer 4 garden rooms, 2 screened courtyard rooms, 2 honeymoon rooms, 1 loft room and 5 family rooms/suites. Each room has been individually and beautifully decorated to a high standard and tastefully equipped with flat screen colour TV with DSTV/satellite, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fan, ipod docking radio clock, heaters and a bar fridge. The private terrace or deck attached to each room is an ideal spot to unwind and can be as sociable or private as you’d wish to be.

A choice of a light continental or a full English breakfast is served on our large deck which extends into our very own mini Knysna forest! Evenings spent in at our "chill out" poolside Boma tucked under trees in a corner of the gardens are a treat around the wood burning fire or braai (barbeque).

As your hosts we are always available to share our local knowledge of the area and to arrange bookings for restaurants and excursions. For the adventurous we can organize eco-adventure outings and activities including forest cycles, individualized lagoon and ocean sunset cruises, guided walks and horseback riding, abseiling, kayaking, scuba diving, fishing, bungee jumping and lots more.
