Cape Town's closest Big 5 Game Reserve is the Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve, an unforgettable safari experience.

Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve is located 1 hour from Cape Town. The reserve measures 20 000 hectares and is home to various wild game and bird species, including: 'Big 5' lion, Elephant, Leopard, rhino, Buffalo.

The following animals can also be viewed, giraffe, crocodile, zebra, oryx, kudu, eland, gemsbok, steenbok, klipspringer, duiker, red hartebeest,blue wildebeest, springbok,bontebok, ostriches, nyala, dassie, baboon and lynx. The reserve has many bird species, plus numerous reptiles.

The magnificent mountains, valleys, rivers and kloofs of the region, together with the diversity of game, birds and activities on offer, provide an unforgettable safari and bush experience on the doorstep of the Mother city.

• Best time to visit?: All year round.

• Duration: 1 day option: depart Cape Town at 06h40, return at approximately 16h30.

2 day option: depart Cape Town on day 1 at 08h30.

Overnight in the reserve and return to Cape Town on day 2 at approximately 14h00.

• Accommodation: On the 2 day overnight option, guests stay will be accommodated in the Fairy Glen chalets. The Roman Bath and Spa, is also available for relaxing. Also a visit to the curio shop or relax around the pool or bar area.

• Costs: 1 day option : R1600.00 per person sharing, R475.00 single supplement. Fees include hotel pick & drop off in Cape Town reserve entrance fees, continental and hot breakfast, 3 hour game drive, return to a 3 course meal, relax at bar or outdoor pool area, visit curio shop before departure.

1 day option with Bush Walking Safari Experience: You will be up close with wild game,in the hands of a field ranger who will give you an extraordinary African wildlife memory to take home. This 2 hour afternoon walking safari is ideal for all photographic or videography enthusiasts. (Min 2 people) R1600.00 + R360.00 per person sharing = R1960.00

There is a single supplement of R475.00
