Swellendam is the jewel of the Overberg and the 3 rd oldest settlement in South Africa situated halfway between Cape Town and the start of the Garden Route. Swellendam is renowned for its architecture, fascinating history, potters and great outdoor life i.e. Horse riding, Hiking, Canoeing.

De Hope Nature Reserve for whale watching and its pristine beaches.
The Tradouw pass to Barrydale, linking the Overberg to the Little Karoo.
Local wineroute with some outstanding award winning wines.
Bontebok National Park, only 7 km from Swellendam Golf : Well-maintained 9-hole golf course. Picturesque setting with fantastic views over the Langeberg mountains.
