Lavender Haven Bed and Breakfast is situated in Bedford and offers a peaceful haven for the stressed, tired and weary traveler in need of some pampering.

Nestling at the foot of the Bedford Mountain, this charming 1820 Settler village of Bedford lies on the fringes of the Karoo Heartland, roughly equidistant from Port Elizabeth, East London and Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, the province where Nelson Mandela was born. Bedford is the ideal base, from where you can visit the Frontier Country, Amatola Mountain Escape Route, Njoli Route, Marino Route and the Karoo Heartlands.

The cottage at Lavender Haven Bed and Breakfast was build around the time of the proclamation of the town of Bedford in 1857, and therefore is one of the oldest in this beautiful Village.

The grounds of Lavender Haven Bed and Breakfast are extensive, covering some 3300 sqm, some of which are beautifully landscaped. To supply our fine gift division, a large section of the grounds are in the process of being planted with Lavender,

Lavender Haven Bed and Breakfast is comfortable, private and quiet. We provide accommodation for up to a maximum of 5 people in two en-suite comfortable bedrooms.

Lavandin has a double bed and Angustafolia has two single beds and an alcove that provides accommodation for 2 additional people on a sleeper couch. Ideal for Mom, Dad and 2 children.

Your stay with us includes a full “Breakfast of the Day”. Should you wish to enjoy an evening meal with us, please advise us before 12H00 on the day, we also provide a full BBQ facility.

We supply complimentary Coffee/Tea facilities in both rooms, for you to make your early morning "cuppa". You are most welcome to use our lounge. We have full satellite TV as well as ADSL internet and email facilities.

Regretfully we do not accept bookings for children under the age of 12 and due to our "family" of 5 Persian cats; we are unable to accommodate any other animals.
